Hi there, welcome to Bilberry Creative! I’m Anna, an illustrator, Geography teacher, mother to a spirited toddler, and a endlessly curious soul fascinated by the natural wonders of our planet.

Bilberry Creative was born out of a deep affection for wild bilberries and a lifelong obsession with making things by hand. Rooted in both the Netherlands and Finland, I constantly find myself floating between the cozy Dutch landscapes and the quiet, wild beauty of Finnish forests. That sense of place, movement, and geography naturally trickles into everything I draw.

As an IB Geography teacher by day and a multi-passionate creative by night (with a wonderfully scattered, chaotic brain), illustration is where all my world-building comes together. Motherhood keeps me anchored in the present moment, while my love for earth science and people fuel my imagination. I see magic in the details: rich earth tones, whimsical flora and fauna, and stories inspired by people and wandering off the beaten path.
